AEAN Studios takes its name from Aeaea, the island of Circe.
In myth, Aeaea is a place apart: remote, cultivated, instinctive, and charged with transformation. It is the world of a woman who stands sovereign in her own power, surrounded not by ornament, but by loyal creatures, living gardens, and the quiet force of her craft.
For AEAN Studios, this story becomes a philosophy of design. We create visual identities, illustration and image-led work with the same balance of instinct and discipline that Circe brought to her island: nothing decorative, everything intentional.
Wild ideas are not softened.
They are shaped.
Stories are not flattened.
They are refined into systems, symbols, imagery and atmosphere that feel unmistakably their own.
The Mark
A figure of loyalty, strength and quiet command. Not decoration, but presence. Not spectacle, but instinct held with restraint.
It is why the studio's seal carries the weight it does: a mark meant to be pressed into something, not printed onto everything.
The Island
Built for Work That Feels Alive
Every brand begins as an instinct, a feeling its owner can sense but not yet name. The first work is listening closely enough to find it.
Wild ideas get structure: a palette, a typographic voice, a mark that can hold weight across every surface it touches.
Nothing ships until it earns its place. Every line, every shade, every kerning value is considered. Restraint is the discipline.
A finished identity should feel inevitable, as if it always existed, and was simply waiting to be found.

AEAN Studios is run by Emma Winnard, graphic designer, illustrator and art director working across brand identity, book covers, social content, photography and campaign design. Every project starts the same way: by finding the one true thing a brand is, and refusing to let it be diluted.
