AEAN Studios is run by me, Emma Winnard, from Wigan in the UK, and I'm responsible for any personal information you share through this website. I only collect what I need to reply to you, send you the newsletter you asked for, or understand how the site is used, and I never sell it. If you have any questions, email hello@aeanstudios.com.
What I collect and why

Who helps me look after it
A few companies process information on my behalf, and each one only uses it to provide its service to me:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives the project brief and sign-up forms.
- MailerLite stores newsletter and Founders' Table subscribers and sends those emails.
- Anthropic provides the AI model behind the plan builder. What you type is sent to it to create your plan, under business terms that don't allow it to be used to train its models.
- Google provides Google Analytics (only after you accept cookies) and the fonts used on this site, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to load them.
Some of these companies are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards such as the UK's data bridge with the US or standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
The site only sets analytics cookies if you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Deny, or ignore it, Google Analytics doesn't run. You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't turn into a project are deleted within two years.
- Newsletter and event sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link in any email.
- Client records and invoices are kept for six years, because HMRC requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how I use it, and you can withdraw consent for the newsletter or analytics at any time. Email hello@aeanstudios.com and I'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, though I'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
